Located at the central-eastern point of Astypalea just east of Analipsi, Schinonta Beach is a narrow but moderately wide sandy beach. The sea is calm and shallow, with small stones along the shoreline and a small jetty towards the western end.
The beach is backed by a sparse array of trees providing some natural shade cover. A few sunbeds and umbrellas are available in front of the single taverna, Astifagia, which offers food and drink.
