I took a gamble coming to Ios not really knowing what to expect. This was my sixth hotel stay as part of an 8-island Greek holiday. From the ferry port, you really need a bus or taxi to get to the hotel. It might be walkable with a backpack but with a suitcase, there are too many hills for it to be manageable.
The bus doesn’t stop outside the hotel on the way down to Mylopotas Beach, so I ended up getting off at the bottom of the hill and walking back up. I probably could have stayed on the bus until it went back into town, but never mind!
The rooms here are pretty basic but clean and modern. The pool area is lovely and very chilled with nice views down to the bay. It’s only a 5-minute walk down to the beach.
My only issue with the room is the air-conditioning didn’t seem very cold, it mostly just blew air around but it was enough to stop the room from feeling stuffy so not a major problem.
The staff are very friendly and I even got a free transfer back to the port on my last day which was nice.
