Gialos Beach (Ormos)
Gialos (also known as Ormos) Beach, is a wide, sandy beach located just north of the port of Ios. A popular beach destination for tourists staying in or around the port, it’s an excellent beach and well worth visiting during your stay on the island.
Ios has an abundance of fantastic beaches and, were there not so many great alternatives, Gialos could easily take the top spot. On many other islands, it would be considered a destination beach and in fact is one of only three Blue Flag Beaches on the island, along with Manganari Beach (aka Magganari) and Mylopotas Beach.
